HRA RESOLUTION NO. 2022–04
A RESOLUTION APPROVING FUNDING FOR A CORRIDOR STUDY PLAN RELATED TO
THE NORTHTOWN RAILYARD OVERPASS
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners (the "Commissioners") of the Housing and
Redevelopment Authority in and for the City of Fridley (the "Authority") as follows:
Section 1. Recitals.
1.01 The construction of the proposed railyard overpass is a high priority to the City
for the connections it will allow between residents, jobs and access to services.
1.02 The Authority continues working with BNSF Railroad and the MN Legislature to
fund the final design of the bridge.
1.03 Completion of a “Corridor Safety Study” is required to gain full project support
from BNSF Railroad.
1.04 The Authority has previously identified funds from the Northstar Transit TIF
District to pay for expenses related to obtaining funding for design and construction of the
proposed overpass.
Section 2. Approvals.
2.01 The Authority funding of the Corridor Study Plan is hereby authorized.
