Approve Ordering of Advertisement for Bids for Moore Lake Park Community Building
Project
Whereas, the City of Fridley (City) began a process of understanding the needs and desires of
residents for City parks improvements in 2019 called "Finding Your Fun in Fridley" by conducting
public workshops with residents; and
Whereas, residents expressed an interest in improving City parks by upgrading playgrounds and
amenities; and
Whereas, on April 25, 2022 the Fridley City Council adopted Resolution No. 2022-36, which
approved the Park System Improvement Plan (Plan) Final Report and authorizes staff to begin the
implementation phase of the Plan; and
Whereas, the Plan includes construction of a building in Moore Lake Park budgeted at $3 million.
Now, therefore be it resolved, the Engineering Division is authorized to advertise for bids in
order that Project awards and construction can be considered.
