Resolution No. 2023-31
Approving and Authorizing the Signing of an Agreement with
Independent School District #14
Whereas, the Independent School District #14 (District) provides K-12 public school services at
multiple locations in the City of Fridley (City); and
Whereas, the City and the District previously entered into contractual agreements for the City to
provide one School Resource Officer to Fridley Middle School and one School Resource Officer
to Fridley High School; and
Whereas, the District and the City recognize the benefit that School Resource Officers provide
to the school, the Public Safety Department, and the community at-large; and
Whereas, the District and the City desire to extend their relationship in which the City will
provide two licensed police officers under the terms of the agreement.
Now, therefore be it resolved, that the City Council of the City of Fridley hereby approves said
agreement and the Mayor and the City Manager or their designee are hereby authorized to
execute the attached Agreement.
