Resolution No. 2023-34
Approving Appointment to the Parks and Recreation Commission
Whereas, the City Council (Council) appoints Fridley residents to the City’s commissions to perform
functions outlined and authorized by the City Charter (Charter), ordinance, resolution or agreement;
and
Whereas, on February 7, 2023, one of the members of the Parks and Recreation Commission
resigned; and
Whereas, after advertising on social media and the City’s website, one individual expressed an
interest in being appointed to the Parks and Recreation Commission, and met with Council on
March 27, 2023;
Now, therefore be it resolved, that the City Council of the City of Fridley hereby appoints Tim
Kirk to the Fridley Parks and Recreation Commission to complete the term which expires on
December 31, 2025.
