Approving Changes to Roadway Major Maintenance Financing Policy
Whereas, the City of Fridley’s Roadway Major Maintenance Financing Policy sets forth guidelines for
the financing of roadway major maintenance projects; and
Whereas, the Policy is used as a guide document to provide preliminary and budgetary projections
of special assessment funding; and
Whereas, the Policy was enacted in 2006 and updated with minor modifications in 2009; and
Whereas, the City Council approved the latest revisions to the Policy on July 13, 2020; and
Whereas, the updated revisions to the Policy include additional language for benefitting properties
abutting up to frontage roads shall be assessable the entire costs of any improvement on frontage
roads, even if only those properties on one side of such frontage roads are benefitted.
Now, therefore be it resolved, that the City Council of the City of Fridley hereby approves and
authorizes the amendments to the Roadway Major Maintenance Financing Policy.
