Award of 2023 Sanitary Sewer Collection System Lining Project No. 23-450
Whereas, the City of Fridley’s (City) existing sanitary sewer system collects and conveys wastewater
to Met Council Environmental Services (MCES) infrastructure for treatment; and
Whereas, the City’s existing sanitary sewer system is part of the City’s essential infrastructure systems
that provide service to all in the community, and the Public Works Department has set a goal for
maintenance and rehabilitation of this system; and
Whereas, the 2023 Sanitary Sewer Collection System Lining Project No. 23-450 (Project) is included
as part of the City’s Capital Investment Program for the trenchless rehabilitation of select segments
of the existing sanitary sewer system and was recently let for competitive bids in accordance with the
City’s Capital Investment Program; and
Whereas, the Project is eligible for reimbursement under the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA)
Grants.
Now, therefore be it resolved, that the City Council of the City of Fridley hereby receives the bids
for the 2023 Sanitary Sewer Collection System Lining Project No. 23-450 per the attached bid
tabulation labeled Exhibit A, and awards the project to the evaluated lowest responsive bidder, Visu-
Sewer, Inc. of Pewaukee, Wisconsin for a Contract including the base bid and bid alternate in the
amount of $629,423.45, which includes a 5% contingency.
