Award 2023 Neighborhood Parks Improvements Project No. 23-70123
Whereas, the City of Fridley (City) began a process of understanding the needs and desires of
residents for City parks improvements in 2019 called "Finding Your Fun in Fridley" by conducting
public workshops with residents; and
Whereas, Fridley residents expressed an interest in improving City parks by upgrading
playgrounds and amenities; and
Whereas, on April 25, 2022, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2022-36, which approves
the Park System Improvement Plan Final Report and authorizes staff to begin the implementation
phase of the Plan; and
Whereas, the Park System Improvement Plan provides funding for its implementation and
includes site improvements in Creek View Park, Ed Wilmes Park, and Skyline Park.
Now, therefore be it resolved, that the City Council of the City of Fridley hereby receives the
bids for the 2023 Neighborhood Parks Improvements Project No. 23-70123 per the attached bid
tabulation and awards the project to the lowest responsive bidder, Sunram Contracting, Inc. of
Corcoran, MN in the amount of $419,679.75 which includes a 5% contingency.
