Resolution No. 2023-146, Certifying the Final Tax Levy Requirements for 2024 to the County of Anoka Resolution No. 2023-146 Certifying the Final Tax Levy Requirements for 2024 to the County of Anoka Whereas, the Fridley City Charter § 7.02 grants the City of Fridley (City) the power to raise money by taxation pursuant to the laws of the State of Minnesota; and Whereas, Minnesota Statute § 275.07, subd. 1, requires the City to certify its final tax levy requirements to Anoka County on or before December 28, 2023 (five working days after December 20) in each year; and Whereas, the City has adequate fund balances and reserves to pay bond principal and interest payments on General Obligation Bond Series 2017A in the amount of $200,000 and authorizes the County Auditor to cancel $200,000 of the related Bond Levy for taxes payable in 2024, leaving a balance of $2,979,256 for taxes payable 2024 for Series 2017A. Now therefore, be it resolved, that the City Council of the City of Fridley hereby certifies to the County of Anoka, State of Minnesota, the following final tax levy to be levied in 2023 for collection in the year 2024: Final 2024 Property Tax Levy Levy Component Amount General Fund $ 14,950,600 Information Technology Capital Projects Fund 79,872 Springbrook Nature Center Fund 538,211 Bonded Indebtedness (2017A & 2022A) 5,009,116 Total $ 20,577,799 Be it further resolved, that the City Council authorizes the City Manager, or their designee, to transmit a certified copy of this resolution to the County of Anoka, Minnesota. th Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Fridley this 11 day of December, 2023. _______________________________________ Scott J.
