New Business 2.Chapter 512 Erosion Control and Stormwater Management Environmental Quality & Energy Commission Minutes Page 2 Meeting 02/13/2024 Ms. Workin presented Chapter 512 from Title 5 of the recodified City Code for commissioner review. Commissioners recommended that the City perform additional outreach related to preventing illicit discharge including the proper method for winterizing pools. Motion by Commissioner Hansen to recommend Chapter 512 to the City Council. Seconded by Commissioner Foell. The motion carried unanimously. 3. 2024 Sustainability Tour Ms. Workin and the Commissioners discussed hosting a sustainability tour that can be self-guided and interpreted with a target date of July. Old Business 4. Title 5 Updates Ms. Workin shared that the Council would also be reviewing changes to Chapter 502-504 as part of Title 5. These chapters have previously been recommended for approval to the Council. 5. Energy Action Plan updates Ms. Workin shared that the City was preparing to table at the HRA Open House 6. Outreach and Event updates Ms. Workin shared that she attended Winterfest to talk about recycling. She also asked commissioners . 7. Grant Updates Ms. Workin shared that the City had received grants for a hydrodynamic separator in the 2024 Street Project Area from the Rice Creek Watershed District as well as additional street sweeping equipment from the Coon Creek Watershed District. Other Items 8. Informal Status Reports Ms. Workin shared that she had been unable to connect with a representative from a sustainability group at the school. Adjournment Motion by Commissioner Foell to adjourn the meeting. Seconded by Commissioner Hansen. The Motion carried unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 7:54 p.m.
